Hopefully to catch the perverts who get a nosh on the beach because they are tight to go to bars for women/men, and hopefully to stop all the thieving geezer birds.

It would be a nice place to walk at night if all this rubbish was removed.

I should think it maybe something to do with all those horrible little lady boys that make it a habbit to pilfer from 'moa felang'.wouldnt be to sure though...never had any problems down there myself but have read lots of posts on here by people who have fallen victim to 'sticky finger sleepey head losey wallet'syndrome in this part of town..

if the crime statistics given out on here are to be believed,its about time they had cctv.Cant walk more than 20 meters<zone 1/2> in london without being on camerea...iI hear people moan about it all the time,buts its never bothered me .

I think I heard they are Infra red night cameras and are going to be installed all allong Beach Rd and Jomtien Beach too and monitored 24 hours.

Think of the funny footage they will be able to sell from these cameras to real TV and the likes, still thats the end to a quickie on the beach with the wife I suppose.

Yes- reality TV in Pattaya! Actually some webcams strategically placed would be a laff.

Beach Road Ladyboys- if they can't have your heart, they will surely pick your pocket!

Two good reasons:

1) Make it appear to the tourists they are addressing the petty crimes taking place down there on a regular basis,

2) So the brown shirts can spend a little LESS time actually "serving and protecting" and a little MORE time shaking people down for their "tea money".

The way they are positioned they'll only see either the sea or the traffic on beach road. Anything going on on the beach/walking promenade will be obscured by the foliage of the trees....

Maybe they plan to take down all the trees as well

Why are they so interested in peoples feet ?

They are interested in peoples feet becasue they have a foot fetish. Not just feet, but also shoes boots toes etc... it takes all types.

But seriously, cameras are not a bad thing even over new york, people can be tracked and traced. Maybe in pattaya they are planning to track problems then send in the boys in blue, who knows

This is really a cause for concern. How many of you would just love your employer or wife to get a video of you from Pattaya? With the reputation it has, you don't even have to be doing anything unsavory.

Combined with the face-recognition technology which is maturing quite fast, this could be a very lucrative blackmail operation. Shoot, identify, blackmail. Great business opportunity.

The trouble is that these things are open to abuse and I wouldn't be surprised if the MIB will make some nice tea money out of this somehow.
