(BangkokPost.com) - The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Tuesday morning removed all tents, stages and road blockades out of its anti-government protesting venues on and Ratchadamnoen Nok Road and Makkhawan Rangsan Bridge to allow the royal funeral procession for Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana to proceed.

A little too late me think. (read = too late in Thai)

Shame on you The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) for wearing yellow as well.

God Save the King :o

Yours truly

Kan Win

First it was 'no' to the Highest Person in the Land.

Then it was, 'Ok'.

They are getting a little arrogant I think. It seems to me that it was basically arrogance that got their nemisis, Thaksin, in trouble.

Now post the army there....so they don't return.

Good idea. tank6rd.gif

They should have been moved out long ago, what right do they think they have to block the public highways.

Tried and tested move by any "mob" in Thailand, over the years. Just tie a bandana round your head, raise your right fist in a "defiant" posture, and plonk yerself down in the road, as instructed by your paymaster / disenfranchised politician / businessman. Hope that drunken 12-wheel truck driver does not come careering round the corner. Repeat.

I find it interesting that the otherwise mostly compliant Thais are such ready & eager protesters.

Or is one the natural consequence of the other ?

Maybe it has something to do with their "breaking point" - happy and smiling up to a point and then all h3ll breaks loose and anything goes.

What surprises me most about it is that there is no mention of the blockage of emergency services by the PAD (ambulance/fire/police)

In any other country it would be a first concern.

I sincerely hope the PAD smartens up and forms a political party, instead of forcing their agenda with political terrorism.

Good luck with that. Even most Fortuner drivers won't move out of the outside lane for an ambulance. :o
