Weird Icq Problem

Featured Replies

Quite often when I'm chatting to someone on ICQ messages just don't go through (in both directions). They appear to be submitted ok, but the reciever never gets them, and there's no warning.

This often results in 'why don't you reply' situations etc etc. It's been going on for at least a year, and a couple of different versions of ICQ. It doesn't seem to be related to connection drop outs. I have no idea what causes it and don't have any problems with MSN or Skype.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this ? It's driving me nuts.

Hello,

I had the same problem, and it can come from different things.

1st, u could try to use another ICQ client, example : trillian here http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ . It solved my troubles.

Another way is to get a new ICQ number, and still use ICQ.

It seems that ICQ lite works better than ICQ Pro, too.

Lastly, after met a new person, try to swap to MSN, it handles nicely message transfer.

cya,

Manu
