Nottelmann
Hello All, As described in my first topic 'Strawberry Production in Highlands', our company specializes in the export of strawberry plants and we provide technical, administrative and legal services to plant breeding programs that develop new strawberry cultivars. Two of the programs that we represent, the University of Florida and Queensland Deparment of Primary Industries and Fisheries develop low chill and relatively disease resistant materials suitable for production at high elevations in the tropics. As master licensee for these programs, our services include trialing and evaluation of new releases, licensing of foreign nurseries, technical support of our licensees, overseas patent protection, control of the supply of foundation matieral and the administration of the royalty collection process. Although we have a market presence in nearly 30 countries, apart from India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia and the Philippines, we have not worked in much of Asia. In particular, I believe that the prospects for commercial production, marketing and consumption of premium strawberry fruit is feasible throughout Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Malaysia. We would be interested in disussing the possibility of licensed propagation in SE Asia of current releases from these programs. As the master licensee and an exporter of plant materials, we are in a position to supply our licensees with foundation level planting material. IsaanAussie
Has anyone given these strawberry plants a try? Particularly in the Northeast? I am interested in giving it a shot later in the year and need to develop a small plot if I can source plants. Isaanaussie
