The Pad Has A Back-up Plan Called "nagasaki"

Featured Replies

PAD leader and Democrat party-list MP Somkiat Pongpaiboon announced from a stage at Suvarnabhumi after the terminal was overrun that the prime minister had lost legitimacy to administer the country because he was a proxy of convicted former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, as well as his brother-in-law. As soon as he arrives in the country, he must announce his resignation.

Mr Somkiat called the Suvarnabhumi operation a "Hiroshima" war. If it fails to overthrow the government, he said the PAD has a back-up plan called "Nagasaki", but he declined to disclose any details.

Could they cut off water to Bangkok or stop food shipments?

Edited by dave9988

Sondhi is going to place bloody sanitary napkins all about Bangkok and take over every TV station and just start spewing endlessly until the Thai populace just can't take it any more!

not very sensitive to victims of hiroshima and nagasaki - looks like radioactive falloutt contaminated his brain

Ok, thinking about it more:

Shutting down public transportation seems like the only thing that could be more painful then closing the airport. Shutting off power and water is probably too drastic.

I agree, probably block the bts, subway and main roads to paralyse the city.

I would suspect that what he meant was the subsequent taking over of Don Muang airport (i.e. now done)

... More died in Hiroshima than Nagasaki, so imagine he meant something 'similar to', rather than 'bigger than'

Regardles, clearly a stupid and tasteless thing to say

Well I see the ever diplomatically astute PAD have just made another huge blunder. Choice of words won't exactly endear them to the Japanese.

Reading on the Thai chat rooms , there is another side of the story people probably haven't thought of on here. But many Thais abroad on holiday, or work/business trips etc are stranded. For many, funds are running out as they are having to stay over planned schedule.

Also known as Operation hari Kara-kiri..... Winning the hearts and minds of everyone... :o

I am a PAD supporter but calling it Hiroshima than Nagasaki is tasteless.....

What's next Operation Holocaust? Operation Falludja? Operation Pol Pot?
