What is going on with IPStar satellite internet today ? Its been down for most

of the day, up for 25 minutes and down again.

I talked to customer service earlier, they told me that they had installed a

new gateway and it didnt work. But when you install new kit dont you

test it before you put it into production ?

The help desk stopped taking calls in the afternoon, so lets hope its alll ok

from here on in ??

Grrrrrr

Here is an update on the IPStar problems that I mentioned earlier. It seems that IPStar is having overload / performance problems at their gateway ( dont know too much about this). Too many customers now.

Anyway they have come up with a novel scheme to manage the load which involves disabling some connections. So if you find that you can ping the network and do a trace route but not access a web page then .

* ring 02 263 7171 (IPStar suport)

* ask them to check for server overload

Provide them with your box number, ie EB0011xx, on the back of the box, your

customer number from your bill and your box ip address. I cant give you gateway server names or addresses as they would not tell me.

My support person was very polite and nice but had to stop supporting me twice

because earth quakes are happening in Bangkok. Eh ? :o Earth quakes in BKK eh ?? Dont want to go there.

Just be persistent and polite and you will get the problem fixed.
