Hello everyone,

I'm arriving in Bkk on the 31st Dec. at 9:05 pm so I'll miss the train to Chiang Mai. Do you know if trains will be running on the 1st or is it a holiday? anyway to purchase a train ticket online before I leave? thanks

All trains run every day (except for some of the short commuter runs from Bangkok). The SRT does not have online ticketing. You may be able to find a travel agency that could take care of ticketing for you with a surcharge for their services.
