My one year non B extension expires 31 December. There are no issues about it being renewed, but does anyone know how far before that I can do the extension. I will be in Bangkok on the 15th and would like to avoid another trip.

I tried calling them but can't get a straight answer to this simple question. Might be my bad Thai though.....

You can do it within the last 30 days of your pemission to stay, so no problem. It is even advisable not to wait until the last day. Often they will even do it earlier if you happen to be out of the country and can't renew within the last 30 days.

Note that you have to use your local immigration office. Bangkok will otherwise turn you away.

That is not definite but many members have had this happen to them.
