Monk Ordination Begins For 81 People To Celebrate The 81st Birthday Of His Majesty The King.

On Tuesday Morning a religious ceremony took place in the grounds of Pattaya City Hall which saw 81 men begin the Monk Ordination process. They are to become monks and will reside at various Temples around Pattaya for a period of 7 days in honor of His Majesty the King who celebrates his 81st Birthday on 5th December.

At this initial ceremony, members of the Pattaya City Administration led by Khun Itipon, the Mayor of Pattaya, cut the hair of each of the men who were all dressed in white. They will now make their way to the Temples to continue the ordination process.
