Thai Airways Sueing Pad

Featured Replies

Of course, Thai air is a national airline and the big boss is a member of the government. But, I love the idea of the lawsuit. I hope other airlines and businesses are allowed to file suit also. No more of the "saving face" and not showing anger. People and their lives and businesses were hurt by PAD. Let them now face the consequences.

I know I won't ever be here in high season again. The arbitrary doubling of prices despite the mess just rubs me too much the wrong way. My home is in Florida and if I have a break in work, I can do all the warm weather beach activities I like during that time.

I like Thailand, but the country is showing me how little they value my repeat business after nine trips here. So, I vote with my wallet. I don't need the crowds and traffic that are in Pattaya this time of year anyway. Too bad. There were some good years here.

Ok, you had some good years here, say hello to Florida.

Sure will. And I will come back when Thailand shows me they want my business.

In the meantime I hope the courts and legal processes here allow people to penalize the PAD. The PAD wanted to passs itself off as an official organization, and have a budget and hire people. Well, let them now interact with the rest of Thai society and the courts and take responsibility for their actions.

And I will come back when Thailand shows me they want my business.

They're going to do that because you are someone special?

Another one bites the dust.

Nope. I don't expect anything special at all, and I do not think I am special. I am just one of the thousands and thousands of people that will put a little more thought into things before buying a ticket to come here next time.

It's called supply & demand - plenty of places/businesses, not just in Thailand, increase costs to reflect fluctuations in seasonal trade. Ever heard of the January sales ?

Perhaps if some of the losers who hang around Pattaya stop coming to Thailand because of PAD, then Thailand may actually benefit from this mess after all :D:o .

Although I do agree with you the leaders of PAD should be held accountable - if for nothing else than to stop this from happening again.....
