How Do You Get A Residence Certificate If You Don't Have A Current Lease In Your Name ?

Featured Replies

I have a potential quandary. I need a residence certificate from immigration but I do not currently have a lease in my name. My missus (not legally married) has a lease in her name and a new tabien bahn for the house she has just bought.

I have no bills coming to either address or any address. My bank accounts have different addresses but I get no correspondence from any of them.

We live together and have a child with my name on the birth certificate. The baby has Thai and British passports.

Just what can I show immigration to get this certificate ?

I am in Buriram at present.

If you are on an annual extension of stay and have made at least one 90-day address report you should be able to get the residence certificate from the immigration office without any documents. Have you already tried getting it and been refused?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Have the girl friend fill out a TM30 notifying immigration that you are staying in her house. Take her and the form to immigration and get your residence certificate using her house book as proof of address.

Edit: Be sure and make them think that you just moved in because she should of done it within 24 hours.

All of the above answers or just fill out a lease agreement from her to you. No problem

Sorry Maestro I'm on a non imm "B" but don't need a WP and as I'm often out of the country I rarely have to worry about a 90 day visa run. Before I had leases in Pattaya so no issues but now I'm in Buriram mostly and don't have a lease.

Good idea, thanks. I'll run that past Korat immigration on Monday and see if they agree (have to go to Korat anyway).

Thought about that as I don't think they ever checked whether the lease I showed in Pattaya was real (it was) but you know if you're found out (0.000001% chance I reckon) then you're in the shit.

Could obviously do it from her to me as that is totally legal (if ficticious :o ).

I would go for the lease.

You can do it on your computer.

PM me if you want a version to start with.
