Bus or train.

The train will go to Phun Pin (Surattanni) Buses meet the train and take you to the ferry.

The bus from Hua Hin will go straight to the ferry.

There is another option.

You have a few options.

1 Train to Chumphon then either Seatran ferry or Lomprayah ferry to Samui via Koh Tao and Koh Phanyang.

2 The bus from HH to Chumphon which includes the ferry ticket again either Seatran or Lomprayah

3 A drive down to Don Sak and take the car ferry to Samui whuch takes 1 1/2 hours

Personaly I always take the Seatran ferry as the Catamaran is very bad when you have waves and I find the staff ignorant. But thats just my opinion :o
