I Need A Software Based Keylogger Or Similar (free Preferably)

Featured Replies

I don't want to start a debate over the ethics of installing one, I just want one. A little trawling of the net has brought up load but some seem to be viewed as having problems including installing trojans on your PC.

I've never used one of these before and I don't want the output to be meaningless code but writing if an email, websites visited, login IDs and passwords etc. Easy to decipher (actually, not requiring deciphering).

Any recommendations for something which will do the job.

Check the ones out in the above link.

Programs listed as free on snapfiles are almost certainly trojan/virus free. For the extended functionality of for example e-mailing you'll probably need a paid version somewhere!

Look at eBlaster from spectorsoft.com .

The program is not free but it's excellent - I have it installed on all my Salesmens' Laptops (with their knowledge) - it can be configured to send an Email Report at any time you wish.

Blazing Tools Perfect keylogger is decent (though not perfect)... The .exe can be renamed during installation to make it harder to find in the process manager, and it can email reports on defined intervals.

Whatever app you choose, if you have full access to the machine i would also recommend you add the keylogger installation folder to the exception list for the antivirus app so your keylogger doesn't get removed during a routine scan.
