Khon Kaen Car Rental

Featured Replies

I can rent a car in Bangkok for about 800 THB per day, but looking on the internet for Khon Kaen I only see very expensive places (2-3 times what I would pay in Bangkok). Can anyone recommend a rental agency with reasonable prices? I just want a car for 2 days, don't care what kind or how old it is. Thanks for your help.

800 per day!

Where please Harold?

Phone numbers?

Do they do Utes or pick-ups?

Thanks :o

I found that many larger rental companies would not rent anything out for less than 3/4 days, as this high season is quiet that might have changed? I assume that you have tried the big names, probably at the airport but I would be surprised at getting 800 a day from them even for amn older small car. Your best bet is to find a local Thai 'company' or private hire, the issue will be insurance as I doubt you will get a rental with proper rental insurance cover for such a low rate, but if it's for a couple of days that is a risk that might be worth the saving? Try contacting smaller guest houses or small hotels - they normally know someone. I recall seeing a farang run hotel that offered car rental in that area, might have been a bit more than 800 a day, not sure. HTH
