Earlier this week, Sattahip Police were called into action after a damaged car, broke through a Police Checkpoint. The vehicle was suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run accident in Na-Jomtien.

Eventually the vehicle, a Bronze Honda City, was forced to stop after one of its tires disintegrated.

The driver was in a drunken state and was named as Mr. Kazuyoshi Harada a 56 year old Japanese National who resided in Ubon Rachatani Province in the North-East of Thailand.

His car sustained damage which suggested the car had been involved in some form of accident.

He was arrested and initially charged with drunk driving.

Communication problems meant that further questioning was not possible at the time, as Police attempt to discover if he was indeed involved in the hit-and-run accident earlier in the night.
