Sorry to add to this lengthy joke thread (must hold the record) but:-

Chinese Communism (21st Century) : You do not have enough cows and they are not producing enough milk. The people are complaining they don't have milk and your businesses are not making their projected profits. Someone discovers a chemical substance that looks like milk and boosts it's protein level so it can be watered down and still meet requirements. That person is immediately promoted to a high ranking party post in charge of milk production, milk is produced and sold worldwide and everybody lauds the new Chinese system. Babies start dying from contaminated powdered milk but it is happening in the middle of a prestige world event so is hushed up for the sake of the country's image. After the event you admit a few babies have died and the party official concerned with milk production blames the milk producers and sends them away for re-education.

PPPism : You have no cows, somebody sells you some cheap products containing dodgy milk contaminated with a toxic chemical. When this dodgy stuff comes to light the minister of health makes a statement that you shouldn't be too critical of the dodgy dealers as it could adversely affect business. You are happy because you are sitting by the roadside waving little plastic hands or feet and wearing brightly coloured tee shirts. The minister for health is immediately rewarded for his acumen by promotion and is tipped for the post of prime minister. All the dodgy products are not returned to their source, to avoid hurting business, but taken away for repackaging and stored until this all blows over.
