Want To Get Out Of Bkk For 24th And 25th

Featured Replies

I havent been out of Bangkok in ages so I'd really like to get out for a couple of days and nights over Xmas. Does anyone know of any places with reasonable rates (less than 1500 baht) and possible to get a late booking (like 2-3 days before) or just turn up?

These are the places I am thinking of in order of preference:

1 - Koh Samet

2 - Hua Hin

3 - Baeng saen

4 - I've often heard of other unkown beaches around Rayong and Chonburi, does anyone know about these places?

I also work online, now most of my clients are in the USA so being away from computer on Xmas Eve and Day shouldnt be too bad but I would prefer places with wifi or at least net cafes.

All info appreciated!

last year I have stayed in hua hin in the guesthouses next to the hilton, right above the see - it was 450. The cheaper end of accommodation don't have websites and don't have a booking system - just turn up. If you want you can find their phone numbers in the Lonely Plane quide - but this year they will be half-empty.

there are many internet caffess - the cheapest, and still very modern and fast, was 30 bht/hour
