Today, while shopping at the local Mall, I noticed that the prices of LCD/Plasma screens where tumbling down to an acceptable level to make a purchase.

But my choice is still not defined.

Which one is the best choice, a Plasma TV or an LCD TV?

Which one has the best view/resolution, the best longevity, the best refresh rate, etc...

Define "tumbling down" on 32" & 42"

Google 'LCD cs Plasma' .. there are quite a few sites who'll give you a more extensive answer than probably someone will give here on TV.

Full HD LCDs are cheaper than Full HD plasma's (if you'll find them in Thailand).

Bear in mind that most of the larger manufacturers have stopped, or will stop, manufacturing plasma TVs. Sony stopped about two years ago. Hitachi, Panasonic and others have also announced the end-of-the-line for plasma TVs. LCDs appear to be the mainstay.

OLED TV is the next generation of flat screens.

Plasma is cheaper to buy but dearer to run.

Plasma is much better for watching fast moving sport action.

LCD is much better for watching during daylight hours. It handles glare better.

LCD should last longer than plasma as far as the life of the set is concerned.

There is less chance of getting faulty pixel/s with LCD.

LCD is better.

The main thing is to go to the mall and compare, there is still a pretty significant difference in image quality between the different models.

You need to get out more! The tumbles are everywhere..
