If I recall correctly from another thread, guests and "anonymous" members that visit your profile won't appear on your visitor list, but still register as a "view".

(As an example, as I type this there have been: 1475 guests, 376 members, 15 anonymous members on the site in the last 60 minutes. If any of the 1,490 guests/anonymous members look at your profile, you wouldn't know it except that the number of "views" would go up.)
