The Efix Usb Dongle

Featured Replies

I hope I am not breaking any forum rules , Ive just seen this which is now on sale in Malaysia

http://www.podoqo.com/efi-x/

Its a small USB Dongle unit that allows I think any PC to run a well known OS ( fruit :o ) , I wondered if any forum members could comment on this device ..?

Let us know if/how it works....

I have no experience with it, but I have read there are now one or even two different "inofficial" OS X distributions out there that can run on most standard PC hardware without any tinkering. Might be worth looking into.... my main concern would be updates because you want those updates and it would suck if I'd have to check whether or not it will break my hackintosh every time there is an update. That alone would be worth buying a real Mac for :o

why buy something wich only works with a few mainboards while an alternative that is free and working on all mainboards(if meets requirement) exists (PCI EFI V9)?

i got osx on my hp laptop since years, it was even the subject for the final work of my study and jury liked it btw!

even more funny, im using it to jailbreak iphone in samui as itunes in osx runs way better than the windows version.

on the other side some functions are not working, i can use only one core, sleep is not working and sound card only outputs sound to laptop speaker, on a desktop everything is running better.
