Thai Consulate Vientiane

In the past it used to be a good idea to arrive a little bit later at the Thai Consulate in Vientiane, let's say 10 am, to avoid the crowds. Is this still a good idea, or not so anymore since the recent visa change development ?

And at what time does the gate open ?

The gates open at 8:30 but its better to be there earlier that. The line starts forming at 7.

When you get there depends on what day of the week. On a Monday if you got there at 10 you might not get your apllication turned in. Tuesday (left overs from Mon.) and Thursdays are also are bad now. They stop taking applications at 12.

Wednesday is best day unless you want do it on Friday and wait for Monday to Pick-it up.

I would avoid the 5th and 6th because those are going to be first days after the long Holiday plus the 5th is going to be the first day at a new location.
