Hello All,

As the wife and I like to plan things ahead (well not all things but visa's and long distance travel arrangements for sure) it looks like we will need some multiple entry tourist visas

Our intended time of travel will be in August 2009 when the wife obtains her newly minted U.S. passport as she should have passed her immigration test by then. Our travel plans on on the order of ...

A - Travel to Thailand from the USA and stay 10 days.

B - Leave Thailand for China = Stay 2 weeks

C - Leave China and go back to Thailand stay another 10 days or so

D - Return to the U.S.

As I understand it we could just do a visa on arrival - however - that would require a round trip ticket.

As I am sure most are aware -- air ticket prices are laregely influenced by the economy in wich that ticket is purchased. As such I am under the imprssion that I would save a bit of money if we did this...

A - Use ONE WAY ticket to Thailand with a Multiple Entry tourist visa (which beggs the question how many entries does a multiple entry realy get?)

B - purchase round trip ticket BKK PEK BKK in Thailand

C - Purchase ONE WAY ticket back to the US from Thailnad

This was much easier back in the day where reverse ticketing was a common practice ... however those days seem to be gone.

Any and all thoughts would be greatly appreciated. An explination of how to apply for a Multi-Entry tourist visa (at least 2 entries or more) from Florida would also be appreciated.

Peace..

Some consulates require you show your tickets to obtian a tourist visa.

Tourist visas are not issued as multiple entry. They are issued for a number entries. In your case you would need a 2 entry visa.

I am not sure you would save a great deal on your tickets buying your return tickets here when you purchase them well in advance. I have found that round trip tickets are much cheaper than one way tickets.

Another factor is your visa's for entry to China those may also require tickets.

Entering on visa exempt entries would be the best in your case (A visa on arrival is not the same thing).
