Cockroaches

Featured Replies

I couple weeks back I had a landscaper lay all new sod for my yard. Last night I wanted to soak the lawn with water. As I was soaking the sod along a wall, dozens of Cockroaches emerged from under the sod and scampered up the wall. I am wondering if their is a nest below the sod or if they came with the sod. Also, now what am I to do?

I don't know about out in the garden, but i remember hearing about an electronic device for inside the house, you plug it in and it emits a low frequency noise & im fairly sure it kept all the cockies, rats and things outa the house. I know cockroaches love living under stuff like that & in gardens full of pinebark and stuff. I imagine your main concern is to keep them out of the house?

Also, now what am I to do?

If they're not in the house, nothing :o

The beeper thingies described by neverdie do seem to work, I'd get a couple of boxes of roach traps too, scatter them around according to the instructions., put the dead roaches in the trash.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

A picture of your mother in-law might also work. It would scare all but the toughest cockroaches away from the house. Works fine for me. :D:D:D . (sorry mak mak - just kidding of course)

Boric Acid Powder. Must be dry to work, it is what is used in the U.S. White House for roaches. The powder is suppose to scratch thier underside and they dehydrate and die.
