Tv Subscription At Condo

Featured Replies

The TV subscription at my condo is <deleted>, to say the least. I'm interested to find out if we can subscribe to more channels. If it's a ridiculously low price to change the package then I don't mind paying the extra fee for the whole condo. I don't know how the subscription thing works, and how I'd go about getting the owners to add more channels if it wasn't too difficult for them (which I doubt it is).

Any thoughts about, or experiences, with this kind of thing?

In my old condo they had only one TV package plan available from ubc (true) which I didnt care for. Not sure if the condo paid for it or it was "borrowed". I was told that it could not be upgraded as there was only one plan for the whole condo.

I still wanted to get a better package and UBC said they could install a dish/wire at my expense from the 50th floor (roof) down to 25th (to my condo). Unfortunately, the orientation of my apt was wrong to pick up the signal on a balcony dish. Cost for the roof to condo setup would be about 16,000 baht which I was willing to pay. But the condo people would not allow UBC to set up the dish and run the wire so ... end of story.

Ask the condo people if you can run your own dish before you start jumping thru the hoops.

If you can get a condo dish on your balcony, would be obviously be much cheaper.
