Thanks to our good friends and this forum for allowing a search for us. - Yes we have been in Koh Koh Khao Resort north of Khao Lak and were hit by the Tsunami. - Fortunately at our place the waves were not as huge as in Khao Lak and our Resort-Management organized a perfect rescue which could not have done better. - So we luckkily survived all this with some minor injuries and heavier mental problems.Miesi and Manfred Wiegel, Singapore/Germany.([email protected])

He seems to be saying that everyone was ok despite the damage and mentions no casualties. We have just returned from the Racha prior to the tsunami and it is difficult/near impossible to get a signal by mobile. Plus the only way on and off the island is really by speedboat so communication will be difficult. Hope this helps and you find her safe and sound soon.
