1. US Passport

2. in Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa, which i have already extended for another 30 days.

3. can i further extend my stay? my 30 day extension runs out on the 8th of january - my plane back to new york leaves on the 16th of january, so i only need 8 more days. i think ive heard of a 10 day extra extension, but i could very well be mistaken.

anybody know the answer? id rather not get a lot of overstays in my passport, as im back and forth here quite a bit.

i very much appreciate the expert advice.

thanks.

You will need to do a border run for the extra odd days, 60+30 is your lot i/m afraid. The choice is yours obviously if you decide to overstay rather than go to the border as long as you understand the possible ramifications then its up to you..........i wouldnt recommend overstaying though. The 10 day extension you refer to is available (subject to individual officers discretion) for those who come here and recieve a 30 day exemption stamp upon arrival.
