Yes a lying clown and these ridiculous stories/theories pop up like whack-a-moles. But why at this particular moment in this thread? For those dining at the trough of end of the world and gold bug websites there is a predictable script which events are supposed to follow. It is a straight line down and the promise that those who hold gold will be sitting pretty at the end of the apocalypse. It is the last refuge of those previously spooked by the markets and desperate to find a narrative to guide them through a world that they don't understand and feel alienated from. So they spout half-digested economics and certainty for a time. And then there is the awful reality that the world hasn't ended quite yet and in fact markets have been doing swimmingly well the last three months. Now the loony-tune websites have to feed their rage and the final fall-back is to murmur conspiracy theories and evil cabals. Did I say final fall-back? Well not quite. There is one more slide and that is the slide into dabbling with neo-nazi genetics and reorganisation of society in order to cleanse it. And then the clown looks like something else.

I thought even about the civil war prospect and have emergency plans in place. Plans cover natural, economic and societal disasters; aswell as the more positive possibilities. Buried in the hype is some interesting info, that the LTRO was used to "emergency finance" Northern European banks in addition to the PIIGS. UK banks recieved over 37 billion apparently.

Be fair midas. I think Herr Naam, not unlike myself does have a concern for the welfare of society. The problem is society just won't listen to the likes of us, even though we know exactly what they ought to be doing. So instead we, (me at least) seek to insulate ourselves from the fallout this illogical and irrational society has wrought. We take care of those we care about, try not to add to anyone else's woes and help others where we can, when we can. What more can you ask of someone? Just think how unfair it is that I only get one vote!

Agree he made good points but will they ever be taken up, and I watch the Aljazeera too but prefer RT, there seems to be too much talking and not enough doing IMO.
