Problems With Thai Visa Travel

What is the point of having a 'travel' section when quotes take 6 days , and Promotions are well and truly outdated?. Please note: most Airlines display 'Sold Out' when promo's are full...please rectify the 'Travel' site to include the LATEST promo's and not sales 5 months behind.

One airline web site I can think of is the airline I work for. Etihad.

If it is sold out it gives you the next available fare and you can move around and find those cheap fares easily.

Since I work for an airline, I know people complain more when things go wrong. They sceam the loudest and post all over the web boards. When things go right they are rare to compliment, and if they do, I tell them to please post your compliments but they rarely do.

There are so many choices when it comes to travel assistance, and if people are not happy then just find some agent who will help you.

Most airlines have an online booking engin and spend millions of dollars on developing this booking engin. so if you want to pay more and want to have basic service book it through an airline. If you want cheaper fares book it through an agent. If you need to change a booking call the airline back wait on hold for an hour or so or call your agent.

Why do so many people just have to complain about everything !

So many people in this world don't have anything to eat and someone complains that his e-mail didn't get read. You can ignore an e-mail but you can't ignore a phone call. So pick up the phone call the agent and save some money.

Yes, I do get the DUB flights! Being from Dublin, Ireland (Cabra) myself I always try to change with a crew member if say we have the same rota. Most of the crew are from all over Europe/Asia so if say someone has the same days to Dublin and I have same days to London or Paris etc, and they from that city, we change. It's only 2 nights in Dub but saves me from using my holidays to visit the relatives!

And I agree with your complaints about Abu Dhabi, (even the crew hate it) but with the new terminal and expansion this is changing. Make sure you join the Etihad Guest program as it has good benefits and after 2 trips round trips (DUB-BKK) you will become gold which gives you 10k extra luggage, fast track and access to the lounges is every city.

I would use them again, as long they are with this site. Hope this post finds them well.

They did a good job with 1 year tix for my wife and daughter. We were in no rush and they accepted my payment from Japan.

Few others would do that.

The main problem with getting back to inquiries recently was due to the press release about Thai bringing in Discounted Fares, Thai had not made these fares available in their booking system at the time of the announcement, this caused a large amount of inquiries which could not be answered immediately, the amount of inquiries was significantly higher than normal which has taken some time to get through and apologies to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this.

Thaivisa Travel try to offer a more personalised service where differing levels requirements can be accommodated unlike online systems where the choices are limited, they will also offer flights that are available, if you manage to obtain a cheaper price there can be various reasons for this and Thaivisa Travel would be happy to try to match or better the fare you obtain.

I just bought return tixs for my wife and daughter in March, Japan-BKK, the trip originating in Japan, that's why I did not use ThaiVisa Travel.

(The tixs are 65K baht, if the trip was other way round, to originate in BKK, it would have been 51K baht)

Thai Airways does not appear on any discounters sites in Japan.

Japan Airlines and ANA do, looks like with 4 seats max per agent.

TG has apparently decided to deal with discounts themselves - direct purchase from the TG site is 2000Y (20$) more than JAL from the discounters. That's cool - you can choose seats and meals and mileage goes fully into the FF programme.

I posted about similar practice with large 5* hotel in Singapore. ThaiVisa Hotels replied those hotels had cut out any resellers.

Since that time we have changed to a new provider who can offer a wider range of services, if anyone does not receive a reply to a quote they have submitted please let us know a bit sooner so we can follow it up and recitfy any problems that may exist.
