I've just made a rabbit hutch and I want to paint it white to give it a happy and bright look and also to keep the mosquitos away if possible, would there be a problem with the paint and rabbits? I know they like a good chew but if I provide a chewing block will it be ok to use vinyl paint?

We bought a Minahbird with new wooden cage - we then stained the cage with dark woodstain to make it look nicer - the day after the bird was dead. If you plan on painting the cage put the animal somewhere else till its bone dry, then it wont inhale the paint fumes.

Use ordinary good quality water soluble acrylic paint.
