Mp Navigator

I bought a Canon Pixma 145 and it prints fine. Scanning works too by using the scan function on the machine. The problem is using the MP Navigator software. It claims not to see the driver. I have tried everything I can think of, updating latest drivers from Canon, re-installing drivers etc. I have a notebook with Windows XP and my partner has a Macbook, and we both get the same result. We are connected using the Apple Airport Express which works fine for the Internet. Does anyone have any similar experiences and/or suggestions? Thanks.
