brycat
Here's my situation: In the beginning of November I went to Vientiane and got a dual entry visa. For Xmas, I returned to the States (ending my first entry). Now that I've returned to the LOS (Chiang Mai) I'm on my second entry which ends at the end of Feb. I've read quite a few posts and I have some questions that you "pros" will probably have the answers to. 1. Is there an option to extend my current visa for 30 days? (I overstayed my original visa a couple of days before getting the dual entry. At that time I extended my visa for a week. The cost was 1900 baht. Recently though, I read a post that said you could get a 30 day extension for 1900 baht. Don't know if this is correct.) 2. Do I have the option of getting another dual entry visa? 3. If I can get another dual entry visa would it be advisable to return to Vientiane? 4. Has anyone had experience obtaining a dual entry visa from the consulate in Hanoi? (Or any other opinions about the consulate in Hanoi?) Thanks for the help!
Mario2008
Yes, on a tourist visa you can get an extension of 30 days on each entry for 1900 baht at any immigration office. Yes, you can apply for another dual entry tourist visa. Viantianne is advisable.
