slippery when wet Posted February 6, 2009 Share Posted February 6, 2009 Hello all. My wife and I are moving home soon and wish to set up a home phone and internet. However we dont wish to use BT if we can possibly do so as we have had difficulties with BT before. However BT sem to have the monolopy on their landline. Go to http://allyours.virginmedia.com/ and stick your postcode in to see if you're in their area. I'm with Tiscali, I pay £15 a month for broadband and line rental, the line rental is payed to Tiscali not BT, the line rental is £10.50 a month so the broadband works out at £4.50 a month for up to 8 meg with unlimited downloads, can't fault the service. www.tiscali.co.uk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

From what I've heard of other internet providers I wouldn't want anyone else but Virgin. For £33 a month I get a phone line, 100+ TV channels and 10Mb/s broadband. I've had one techie problem since it was installed and that was sorted out with one phone call because the whole nine yards is the responsibility of Virgin. If I had an ADSL installation it's quite possible that I could spend weeks playing pingpong between BT and my ISP. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
