I fell inlove with a thai girl, she was a farm girl and had never been more than 30 klicks from her village before.we dated through the internet for 8 months and on my thard trip we where married. a year latter I lost my high paying job. and I guess My wife too. I paid 1 mil baht in sinsod and bult her a house. I sent her money every month and when I lost my job had to cut her back to 500.00 USD a month. I found that she has decided she is nolonger married and will marry a local soon. We where married my local coustom. Is there anyway to recoop something or am I just out of luck. I am out about 60K total. the family spent the moneys on land and the gold too.

Poor bugger,i feel sorry for you.Before i go any further,be prepared for the usual name calling,"Toll,idiot,blah blah blah".But the reality is serious for you,not only financially,but emotionally.I believe you can recoup some money,if you have receipts.There are lawyers on this forum that specialise in this type of law,just do a search for them.There is no reason 500 USD would not be enough for a farm girl,and i don't see how she would get more by marrying a local,so i suspect she was using you all along,certainly quite sad.Best of luck in the future.Try not to let one bad egg spoil the fact that there are many, many lovely girls here that are not interested in your wallet.
