So from what I read in one of the other posts it's neccessary that I go and get some papers from the british embassy? Is it essential that this is done before the marriage? Beacsue if it is there's a little bit of a hiccup. I just got this from the British Embassy website

Monks have nothing to do with marriage. That is a civil filing at a district office and can be done anytime after you obtain the required paperwork. Yes, that paperwork is required.

You can go ahead with your plans for ceremony/party/honeymoon or whatever. Only the legal filing must await the Embassy paperwork. This is not considered the priority by most Thai as the ceremony will be the marriage commitment to them.

Gotcha. So when the embassy opens for regular business I get the affirmation. Then do the marriage certificate, then after that I can start with the visa application. Right?
