bergen
Hi there.......... I need to renew my passport, and hope for some recommendations on where to take proper photos. The embassy is in Suk 33, so preferably in that area.
MKAsok
Apparently there's a place in the building on the corner of Wireless, just by BTS Phloen Chit. I can't tell you exactly where it is in the building (I think it's on the ground floor), since I haven't been there yet, but this is where the British Embassy advised me to go to get 'acceptable' passport photos for my impending passport renewal. Shouldn't be too difficult to find I'd imagine.
thaihome
Do you know exactly what your country's requirements are? Hopefully you are not expecting the shop to know, since each country tends to have different ideas what size and background are needed. There is probably a photo shop right in the same building or nearby. TH Edited February 16, 2009 by thaihome

TH Almost all EU countries nowdays have same and very strick requirements for the photos. Check with the embassy, they most likely have shop nearby that they recommend and will provide correct photos in first go. I know there is one next to Amarin Plaza but bit far from soi 33... Shouldn't be too difficult to find I'd imagine. I got photos for my new UK Passport there. I can recommend them They know what they are doing and have various samples on display. Particularly for UK passports (they are just opposite the British Embassy). It is the "Home Pro" (or similar) building - with a sky way Connection to PloenChit Sky Train Station. Shop is on ground Floor near Escalator. It is a Photocopying / Printing shop NOT a Photo shop as such But they specialise in Passport Photos. Do good Photocopies also. Another service - they can make a Credit Card Size Plastic covered Colour copy of your Passport Photo Page on one side and your Current visa extension on the other. Pattaya46
I need to renew my passport, and hope for some recommendations on where to take proper photos.Hi,Are you certain you still need "paper" photos ? I mean nowadays many countries make "biometric passports" with a contactless chip inside. and for that they use a numeric camera and a fingerprint scanner. You don't have to give photos anymore. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biometric_pas...#European_Union Pattaya46
MJo
The embassy is in Suk 33, so preferably in that area. Eastbourne Photo - 4th floor Emporium Eastbourne not able to do it, just back from emporium. Yes they have some "standard" print out sizes but are not able to take and print for size required by EU countries nowdays. Vent to bigger shop in Soi 23, right next to 7/11 and opposite Jasmine parking entrance. No hassle and 250 Baht for plastic bag full of proper photos with exact EU spec. They also do photoshop / printing so you might get it even cheaper if you take the photo yourself and let them photoshop the background and print to correct size.
