sorensen
Not that it is direct related, but I have seen posts about palm trees in here, so can you get Palmitos or Palm Hearts in Thailand? If so, where? Robert

sorensen
I saw them in tins at Macro. Thanks Shepsel. I have checked at Emporium, Villa, Food Land and Paragon, but never thought about Macro. Will have a look and hope you are right. Robert
Hawaiian
Fresh palm hearts like fresh bamboo shoots are a winner if you can find them. Here in Hawaii a variety of peach palm (rakam) is raised for for their shoots. They are a gourmet item that growers ship to Japan and elsewhere. Upscale restaurants in Hawaii also have them on their menus. Never saw fresh ones in Thailand. Doesn't mean they are not available.

Sweet taste.
