The closest I know to Surasak station is the fitness centre in the Ascott Sathon called Cascade Club. Memberships available for non-residents of the Ascott. http://www.cascadeclubandspa.com/

kiakaha
Thanks... but it's a wee bit expensive for me!!! well, the cheapest I can think of in your area are : At the top of Sathorn Rd is Lumpini park...jogging, park style exercise apparatus, aerobics.....FREE There is also a sports park up on Sathorn just before Soi Suan Plu .... never been in but they seem to have basketball, football courts etc... Under the Rama 3 tollway flyover down near the Sathu Pradit / Ratchadapisek / tollway onramp towards Urupong intersection , there are some rusty free weights and exercise machines on the traffic island

Tingnongnoi
if you go to Saphan Thaksin station and then get the boat across the river for 3 baht there is also a small park there for running and has a weights gym
desertrat
You are within a few hundred metres of a FREE gym, unbelievable large quiet area, well it is a graveyard, but really good free weights and stuff.
monekyface
What about further west of there- say, near Khrung Thonburi BTS or Wongwien Yai BTS- any full-service gyms out in that area with cardio machines and free weights and such? Is there a California WOW or True close to here?

Good clean gym with outdoor pool and cafe - They also have a cheap day time rate too.

monekyface
thanks to all who responded!! Ritti, I'm thinking about Clark Hatch. Can I do better than 17,500 for a yearly membership? They waived the admin fee of 1200. But is there a better offer you think?
