I keep telling myself i need to get out and exercise more but never do.

Anyone know of any clubs in or around Sathorn i could join?

I live quite near Surasak station.

Interested in Badminton, Squash, Tennis.. etc...

Although i'm not very good at any of them. :o

The closest I know to Surasak station is the fitness centre in the Ascott Sathon called Cascade Club.

Memberships available for non-residents of the Ascott.

Thanks... but it's a wee bit expensive for me!!!

well, the cheapest I can think of in your area are :

At the top of Sathorn Rd is Lumpini park...jogging, park style exercise apparatus, aerobics.....FREE :o

There is also a sports park up on Sathorn just before Soi Suan Plu .... never been in but they seem to have basketball, football courts etc...

Under the Rama 3 tollway flyover down near the Sathu Pradit / Ratchadapisek / tollway onramp towards Urupong intersection , there are some rusty free weights and exercise machines on the traffic island :D

what about saphan taksin bts stop? any good gyms with free weights there? anything near the river that is basically a full-service gym with free weights would be cool. maybe some of the hotels like Shangra La have a facility for non-guests? any experience, anyone?

There is a California Wow on SIlom at the Soi Convent intersection.

The Peninsula has a nice gym, but it is expensive for non-hotel guests.

Did you go to Clark Hatch - I work out there. Good clean gym with outdoor pool and cafe - They also have a cheap day time rate too.
