I am British with a Immigrant non B visa and a new work permit, do I have leave the country every 90 days?

I was told yesterday that the law changed recenlty and I only have to report now, is this correct?

No change in the law. You have to leave every 90 days if you have a multiple entry visa.

Reporting to immigration is only for those that have an extension of stay granted by immigration.
