Can somebody with a little more knowledge than me, please tell me if a cocnut tree will grow in my garden in pattaya and bear good fruit.

Been trying to grow them in Chiang Rai unsuccessfully. In Pattaya , I'm sure I've seen a few odd million of them, So I would think so.

maybe someone will be along with some planting tips.

Dunno, I live on an island that exports coconuts and these things sprout on their own and send down roots. I didn't know they required a technique. You can plant a sprouted coconut up to the top of the nut, don't cover the very top tho.
