my 14yo son is showing signs of Scheuermann's disease, the same symptoms I experienced at his age and now at 55yo I have serious back problems because it was not treated at an early age.

My question is:

which would be the best government (for cost reasons) hospital to go to for a proper diagnosis and treatment? Preferably on the Thonburi side of BKK since we live there.

Sorry that I can't advise on this but if you don't receive any further pointers, you might want to try asking Sheryl (mod) who is/was a well informed and helpful nurse.

Siriaj is on that side of the river and is one of the very best government hospitals in the country

Brace yourself for a fair amount of red tape and delays at the onset, may well take several trips before you eventually see a specialist (true at all the govt hospitals), but with patience should be able to get what you need there

lucky it is now school holidays so no problem about time.

just one more question, do you know what they usually charge for a MRI?

Afraid I don't, but it will be less than at private hosps, and they usually tell patients the cost of these things before hand.
