The first Thai temple built on Indian soil was Thai Bodh Gaya. A few more Thai temples were built after that to serve as a sanctuary for Thai pilgrims who wish to pay homage to these sites. Located exactly between Ramabhar Stupa, Buddha's cremation site, and Salavanodayan, Wat Thai Kusinara Chalermraj occupies approximately 15 rai of land. The venerable Phra Rajrattanarangsi (Veerayud Veerayudho), chief abbot of Wat Thai Kusinara Chalermraj, oversaw the construction of the temple. Continued here.
