After reading about all the hassle different members experience at various immigration offices around Thailand.I have just renewed my retirement extension (yesterday) at the Jomtien Office, and same as last year the staff were very polite & helpful, I also have never had a problem with the 90 day reporting, (even though I think the rules need changing.)Maybe i've just been lucky,i don't know,i can only speak as i find.

Yes it is true they have changed many of their staff but not the guy who issues retirement extensions, but they have changed his boss - the lady who you see after him who checks everything again, but she seemed very pleasant when I did mine a couple of weeks ago.

I second the experience. Arrived just after 0800 to be first in the queue; my number was called at exactly 0830, and I was out of the door at 0840. Friendly and no hassles.
