Organic Products In Chiang Rai City

It is quite hard to find organic products. My finds so far for other organic freaks:

Fresh organic vegetables and fruit: supermarket junction Uttarakit- Srikird.

Cosmetics, beautytools, dried fruit/food etc: Healthy Choice, Phra Sop Suk, right side from the bus station & Night Bazaar.

I'm familiar with the places facing the south side of the bus station (a couple doors up from Baanchivitmai Bakery), but am not familiar with any other places.

Where is "supermarket junction Uttarakit- Srikird" ?

There used to be a rather large organic garden and outlet on the road going west from town, but that closed down. Incidentally, while it was active, I once saw someone spraying weed-killing chemicals along the edge of the little border road - which was inches away from where the veges were growing. So even if a vendor says it's organic, that's not necessarily for sure.

Most probably Api Square since that's the only junction where Uttarakit and Sirikid meet...

They have an organic vegetable and fruit store inside just next to TOPS.

can you describe the location without using street names? I know TOPS store near the entrance to Night Bazaar downtown - but it doesn't sound like the same TOPS.

Landmarks are not very useful. Especially when you say "it's near the entrance to the night bazaar" since there are at least two entrances to the night bazaar and then what direction? But enough of that. Here you go:

Pass King Mengrais right arm going west into town at the Ha Yaek intersection. It's a one way street and TOPS is located basically at the first intersection after passing TOT Phone Company. If you turn left at this intersection there is a huge building immediately on your left with a Hot Pot restaurant clearly visible and many other shops inside, including the bigger version of TOPS and also the small organic food shop. Motorbikes have a parking area outside the complex and if you drive a car they have an underground parking.

I believe that shop closed at least a month ago and moved to Sankhongnoi road, close to the 7/11, Sabun Nga hostel and Le Petit Cafe coffee house.

The name of the shop is Doi Kham (a royal project), offering organic grown vegetables.

That same shop/ brand you can also find next to the Highway, from Chiang Rai to Mae Sai, around Sri Khum area (Mae Chan), where you find the factory that produces jam and fruit juices, on your left hand.

I also noticed organic vegetables and products were sold on the Saturday walking street, close the entrance of Damrong School.

And Kawporn Hydrofarm offers a variety of hydroponics (lettuce, tomatoes and herbs). Their farm is close to the Doi Kham shop in Srikhum-Mae Chan. You can also get their products at the Deli shop, behind Da Vinci restaurant downtown.

And you can get many organic grown veggies at the local market...

Well that's all I know for now, regarding organic products.

Good luck on your search!

Organic veggies on Walking street? Mmm... haven't noticed...going to check that out this Saturday.

I was told that there is also a lady selling organics at the market (Uttarakit Road), but I haven't found her yet. She changes places every time. Only people with good karma are able to find her :o

Deli shop, that's a good one, only 10 minutes walk. Thanks Lilly.

Goski, perfect description (API centre). I still taste the avocado I bought there.
