My girlfriend and I are about to do a visa run to Phnom Penh in the coming week or so.

If any of you are of a like mind, let me know if you are keen on splitting a taxi fare from Poi Pet to Phnom Penh on either Tuesday the 10th of March or Wednesday the 11th. As you might know, the buses are either inconvenient or a blatant scam- it'll only cost around US $10 each or so by taxi. With the visa fee exemptions, there has never been a better time to do it!

EDIT: Just to clear things up, we're planning on taking a public bus or something to Poi Pet from Bangkok.

Going by another report today, they won't be giving a double-entry tourist visa at any price.

Hmm well apparently it's a flat rate of $2 for a taxi ride all over Phnom Penh, and for a lot of other things... then everything jumps to $20 or so. Prices are a bit funny there. $30 shouldn't be to unrealistic considering other prices and cost of living/exchange rates etc. We are enquiring about it at the moment, but anyone who knows better are welcome to post!!!

As you will only get a single entry tourist visa, a cheap flight to Penang could be better considering you live in Bkk.
