Abhisit insists Bt2,000 stimulus cheques to reach workers by April 8

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva Friday insisted that the Bt2,000 cheques will be distributed to private firm workers between the end and April 8.

He said no matter which bank would be selected to issue the cheques, the cheques must be handed out to workers, who earn less than Bt15,000 a month, as scheduled.

He said the Labour Ministry has assured him that the cheques would be ready in time for handling out as scheduled.

The Nation

Maybe George can move this to newsclipping.

Only comment would be that people will get this just in time to not buy booze on New Years. :o

This should be effective in stimulating voters to vote Democrat! Buddha knows their policies and corruption won't...

Moved to Newsclippings

as part of the plan by Oishi (which means aroi apparently), to get the 4000 baht in gift certificates, you need to sign over the cheque to them directly. at the end of april, Oishi (which means aroi apparently) will submit a detailed report on which types of sushi, shashimi and katsudon were consumed and by who.
