steve78
Hi All, I have been offered a job in Bangkok and have now just got my Non - Immigrant Type B Visa (multi). I just want to know about obtaining a Thai Work Permit... The company I am going to work for will sort it out for me when I arrive...But the question I have is... Do you need a Degree certificate for a Thai Work Permit??? I am not going to be a teacher of any kind, just a salesman! The job when offered said that I did not have to have a Degree, but I have been to College and have a... GNVQ in Art & Design. BTEC NATIONAL DIPLOMA in Graphic Design. But no longer have the certificates. I have contacted the College and they tell me they do not have them as it too long ago but they have sent me a letter confirming I was enrolled on these courses at College. Any advice is welcome please. Thanks, Ste.
Maestro
No, you don’t need a degree for your work permit. -- Maestro
pit101
Maestro is right! Your employer has to declare to the department of labor why you and not a Thai has been selected for this job! However, to fulfill the paperwork you need to present some certificates of your education. Usualy the highest qualification is enough. KamnanT
Not strictly required, but any documentation that establishes that you have unique skills, knowledge or abilities can only help clarify for the Labour Department why your employer has to hire you rather than a Thai national. Always submit as much paper as possible.
steve78
No, you don't need a degree for your work permit.-- Maestro Thank you for your reply. So I do not need a Degree? I have the following... *Type B Visa *2 x References *10 x passport sized photos *Letter from my College *C.V Then when I arrive I can go to a Thai Hospital to get a medical. Will this be enough for my boss to get me a Work Permit??? Kind regards, Ste.
