cloudbusting
I've never seen any of these places mentioned here before so I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience of either. Centric - Ratchada 21 Living Place - Soi Rang Nam Any other similar suggestions would also be appreciated! Cheers!!!

Me too, in fact, as I prepare to move to Thailand soon on a retirement visa, for the first 3 months I will again stay at Centrepoint Phetburi. Aswin
Don't take the quotes they give on internet as final price. As you know thais love to bargain. So Bargain it down, they would rather have someone stay there than having them empty. The longer you stay the more bargaining power. You have to act like you don't care and willing to stay at so and so cause its cheaper. They usually give in, find out from receptionist the standard base price then work your way up to supervisor them manager, general manager, etc. The savings is worth the time, trouble and hassel. 1st I stayed there for 2 weeks then whiile I went to Chaingmai my 3rd week they let me keep same room and left my luggage and stuff there without having to pay for room since I was coming back to stay there at Centrepoint after.
