Anyone know of a shop that can do some sand or bead blasting of some parts so that they can be prepped for painting? In the greater Bangkok metro area please, but will go a *bit* further if I have to.

Have searched the forums already, didn't find too much, also working on the google search results which is painstaking. Looking for inputs from members with some first hand experiences.

The parts in question are 4130 cromoly tubular steel and the largest measures approx 70cm x 40cm x 30cm. If the shop can do the painting or better yet powder coating, that would be a bonus!

Cheers...

*NOTE* to Mods - I've asked this already in the Bangkok Forum with no satisfactory results. Please feel free to kill that thread as I've asked in this forum now. Thank you.

China Town area - the metal working area to be exact - you will find both sand/grit blasters and powder coaters there.

I don;t remember the Soi name but its not a big place - get there (China Town) and ask for the Soi where aluminium and stainless steel dealers are (all the Al and SS shops are clustered together over about 200 yards or so) - you'll know when you're there, there'll be bandsaws cutting stock on the pavement, sheet metal lying all round place ... you'll know it (its next door the water pump dealers soi!! - no I kid you not - thats exactly how China town is). Has its consumer shops in one area and the hardware/tools/pump/steel guys clustered together a few blocks down the road, in another part.

Go into any of steel/ally dealers and ask about powder coating and sand blasting - and one of them will point you to "so-and-so down the road, round the cnr....." - and they do a pretty good job.

The other other area is on the way out of Bkk past the old airport - same side of the raised motorway - where all the hydraulic crane/lift equipment dealers are (again, you can't miss it - coming into Bkk it starts just past that huge shopping centre on the left hand side where the raised motorway starts) - theres a bunch of powder coaters and sandblasters there as well. And then furthe rout fo town (same side of the road) where all the tractor dealers are - more sandblasting and powder coating workshops.
