Are Double Entry Visa's still available at Vientiane during this time of free tourist visa's , if yes are they still 2000 or as tourist visa's are free are double entry visa's 1000 during this period ?

From reports we have had they are still avaible and are free.

just got back from Vientiane today, picked up my double entry at 1.30 toay and yes FREE.

Questions for those that know ...

I am from the U.S. I applied for a two-entry tourist visa before I came to Thailand. I entered on February 25th and my first tourist visa entry expires on April 25th. I can then renew for the second visa entry for another 60-days. That would put me around the expiration of June 24th.

Here is the thing I would like to know ... Would it be possible to exit on April 1st, rather than near the expiration on the 25th, so that my visa will expire before the June 4th deadline of the free visa, and obtain a new tourist visa stay around May 29/30th? Also, would I be able to obtain another set of two-entry tourist visas to stay another 120 days like before?

They are free from every Thai Consulate until June 4th

Sorry for a , possibly, repeat question, but how much is it (for two) for

1. a taxi/tuk-tuk ride from the bus terminal in Nong Khai to the Thai border post

2. a taxi/tuk-tuk ride from the Laos border post to downtown Vientiane?
