Problem With Sim Card

Featured Replies

I find that when I put my 12call pay-as-u-go sim card in my mobile phone obtained from my phone company in Hong Kong that the value on the sim card runs down even when I do not make any calls. When I use the same sim card in another phone this does not happen so it not a problem with the card.

Could this be the equivalent of the phone locking that some companies use e.g. T-mobile in UK?

what kind of phone is it?

is it set up to connect to the internet or check for email?

if so then there may be a chance your 12call pre paid $ or baht is getting chewed up with your phone hooking up to the internet when its idle.

turn of any internet connections you have set on your phone, and manually check for emails etc on your phone.

Thanks Jetpilot. It's a 3G phone and sounds like you might be right. I will follow up.

If there was a locking issue, it would not work at all.
